Holding your iPhone in your left hand could be ruining your call quality as the antenna signal is impaired, a study has said.
Apple devices rank among the worst smartphones for voice quality, according to a report carried out on behalf of telecomms authorities in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland, as well as the Nordic Council of Ministers, with the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus rated the worst performers.
Professor Gert Frølund Pederson, from Denmark’s Aalborg University, tested 26 popular mobile phone models on the market and ranked them in order of antenna quality.
Both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus were found to have the lowest quality all phones tested, while the iPhone 6 and iPhone SE were also positioned towards the bottom of the list.
All Apple handsets, however, seemed to perform slightly better when trialled in the right hand.
