All Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange dropped by 0.22% at the first day of trading for the week as investors displayed cautious demand postures. The primary index lost 66.78 basis points to end the day at 30,265.90 basis points. Market Capitalization for the market at the close of trading today was N10.40 trillion.
The total number of deals recorded on the floor reduced by 4.10% after increasing by 7.90% on Friday, while the total volume of shares traded on the floor reduced by 47.35% despite an increase of 57.36% on Friday and the total value of transactions depreciated by 55.68%.
The top five most actively traded shares on the exchange today were UNIVINSURE, UBA, ACCESS, ZENITHBANK and GUARANTY led the activity chart with a combined total of 106 million shares.
Market breadth closed negative as SEPLAT for the second session in a row led 16 Gainers against 27 Losers led by UACN.
The ASI gained 2.17% last week.
Year-To-Date currently stands at -12.67%.
