It was bearish today on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange as the All Share Index depreciated by 2.59%, eclipsing its total loses for the whole of last week. For the fifth day in a row, the ASI lost value beginning the week in red and the Market Capitalisation closing below 30,000 basis points.
The total volume of transactions effected increased by 151.95% from the last day of trading, as the number of deals recorded also increased by 3.64%. The total value of all transactions recorded appreciated by 51.04% from ₦2.4 Bn to ₦3.6 Bn today.
Market breadth for the day was also negative as FO led 7 Gainers against 41 losers led by NESTLE.
Eight of the nine Indexes on the Nigerian Stock Exchange ended the day in red, as the ASEM Index remained unchanged.
ACCESS ended the week as the most actively traded stock by volume as 321,973,986 units of its shares were exchanged today. TRANSCORP, FBNH, ZENITHBANK, FIDELITYBK completed the list of the five most active stock on the exchange today.
The NSE Year-To-Date currently stands at -13.70%.
