The primary index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange continued its losing streak on the back of profit taking by investors today as the ASI lost 0.25% against a 0.60% loss posted yesterday to end the day at 30,330.58 basis points. Market Capitalization for the market at the close of trading today was N10.42 trillion.
The total number of deals recorded on the floor increased by 1.82% as 3,112 deals were struck, an improvement from the 5.88% dip recorded on yesterday. The total volume of shares traded on the floor reduced by 28.44% after increasing by 52.73% yesterday, while the total value of transactions recorded increased by 45.84% against a reduction of 33.15% recorded yesterday.
The top five most actively traded shares on the exchange today were ACCESS, WAPIC, ZENITHBANK, GUARANTY and DIAMONDBK.
Market breadth closed negative as FO led 15 Gainers against 30 Losers led by SEPLAT.
Year-To-Date currently stands at -12.48%.
