The All Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange appreciated by 0.20% consolidating on gains from past two sessions, it appreciated by 0.72% yesterday. The primary index added 63 basis points today to close at 30,825 basis points. Market Capitalization for the market at the close of trading today was N10.59 trillion.
The total number of deals recorded on the floor increased by 12.51 against an increase of 12.42% recorded yesterday, while the total volume of shares traded on the floor increased by an impressive 165.48% buoyed by the trade of 450 million HMARKINS shares. The total value of transactions recorded reduced by 20.99% against a 27.19% reduction yesterday.
The top five most actively traded shares on the exchange today were HMARKINS, FBNH, UBA, STERLNBANK and DUNLOP led the activity chart with a combined total of 550 million shares.
Market breadth closed negative as DANGCEM led 20 Gainers against 28 Losers led by JBERGER.
Year-To-Date currently stands at -11.06%.
