The primary index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange depreciated for the fourth day in a row on the back of weak demand as the ASI lost 0.62% against a 0.25% loss recorded yesterday to end the day at 30,141.06 basis points. Market Capitalization for the market at the close of trading today was N10.35 trillion.
The total number of deals recorded on the floor reduced by 2.73% against an increase of 1.82% recorded yesterday, while the total volume of shares traded on the floor reduced by 12.72% against a 28.44% dip recorded yesterday, even as the total value of transactions recorded increased by 24.24% adding to its 45.84% increase recorded yesterday.
The top five most actively traded shares on the exchange today were GUARANTY, ACCESS, ZENITHBANK, UBA and TRANSCORP.
Market breadth closed negative as SEPLAT led 15 Gainers against 30 Losers led by FO.
Year-To-Date currently stands at -13.03%.
