All Share Index Dips By 0.47%

The All Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange continued on its torrid part today losing 0.47% to end the day in the red zone; the NSE lost 1.07% at yesterday’s trading session. The All Share Index lost 130 basis points to end the day at 28,219.44 basis points. Market Capitalization for the market at the close of trading today was N9.7 Trillion.

2,406 deals were struck on the floor of the exchange today, an increase from 3,156 deals recorded yesterday; the total volume of shares traded on the floor today were 143,695,470 while the total value of transactions recorded today was N1.4 Billion.

SEPLAT led the gainers chart today adding N4 to close at N230 followed by BERGER and ASHAKACEM which added N0.45 and N0.39 close at N9.58 and N22.4 respectively; ZENITHBANK and UBN added N0.25 and N0.15 to close at N16.49 and N5.70 respectively.

The losers chart was led by FO who lost N14.5 to close with a share price of N275.5 followed by NB and OKOMUOIL who lost N1.86 and N1.42 to close with share prices of N120.6 and N27.48 respectively; 7UP and STANBIC lost N0.99 and N0.95 to close with share prices of N184 and N18.43 respectively.

The top five most actively traded shares by volume on the exchange today were FBNH with shares valued at N267 Million, UBA with shares valued at N42 Million, ACCESS with shares valued at N48 Million, UNITYBANK with shares valued at N10 Million and WAPIC with shares valued at N3 Million.

Market breadth closed negative as SEPLAT led 15 Gainers against 25 Losers led by FO for the second day in a row.

Year-To-Date currently stands at -18.58%.
