Bearish sentiments and depressed demand led the All Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange to a 0.26% loss, dropping 77.71 basis points to end the day and the week at 30,332.68 basis points. Market Capitalization for the market at the close of trading today was N10.42 trillion.
The total number of deals recorded on the floor increased by 7.90%, while the total volume of shares traded on the floor increased by 57.36% and the total value of transactions appreciated by 28.76%.
The top five most actively traded shares on the exchange today were LASACO, SOVRENINS, ZENITHBANK, GUARANTY and UBA leading the activity chart with a combined total of 177 million shares.
Despite negative sentiments, market breadth closed positive as SEPLAT led 26 Gainers against 18 Losers led by DANGCEM.
