One English team will certainly be in the Semifinals of the Champions League this season as the draws for the quarter-finals were made and Liverpool find themselves pitted against League leaders Manchester City.
Liverpool are the only team to have defeated Manchester City in the league this season with a spectacular 4-3 win sometime in January.
That is probably the game of the round, but there are other big games also coming up.
The draw was held today at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon.
In the other games of the quarter-finals; Juventus square up against the Ronaldo-led Real Madrid in what would be a repeat of last year’s final. Barcelona will have to contend with Italian giants Roma and Bayern Munich will face the plucky outsiders from Spain, Sevilla.
Things will kick off on April 3 and the second leg will be played on April 11, this applies to Juventus, Real Madrid, Sevilla and Bayern Munich while Liverpool, Man City, Barcelona and Roma play their first games on April 4 with the second legs of those ties taking place on April 10.
Meanwhile, in the Europa League, Arsenal will take on Ahmed Musa’s CSKA Moscow, Atletico Madrid will face Sporting Lisbon, Olympique Marseille will pit their wits against RB Leipzig while Lazio will take on Salzburg
