Former Factional National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ali Modu-Sheriff has concluded plans to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to reports, Modu-Sheriff and his host of supporters will by received by APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun today.
As PDP factional chairman, Modu-Sheriff had been locked in a bitter leadership dispute with then interim chairman of the party, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi.
The Supreme Court decided the matter in Makarfi’s favour.
Ahead of today’s exercise, factional Deputy Chairman under Modu-Sheriff, Dr Cairo Ojuogho, was said to have visited the APC National Secretariat in Abuja to put finishing touches to the move.
He is expected to join his boss in moving to the APC.
