The Alamiyeseigha family of Bayelsa state have announced the Funeral arrangements of their son and father, Diepreye Alamiyeseigha, the former governor of Bayelsa state who died at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Rivers state on October 10th 2015.
His funeral will commence on April 7th and end April 10th.
Announcing the burial arrangement, the Chairman, Central Burial Committee and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (Retd), stated that “there will be a Youth/Student Activities in Yenagoa the Bayelsa state capital; public lecture on Federalism and Development in Nigeria, by Prof. G.G Darah at the Banquet Hall, Yenagoa; Night of Songs and Tributes at the Gabriel Okara Cultural Centre, Yenagoa.
“On Friday, April 8, there will be a Valedictory State Executive Council Session, at the Banquet Hall, Yenagoa and Wake-keep at his country home in Amassoma.”
The Deputy Governor also stated that there will be a Commendation Service on Saturday, April 9, to be followed by his internment in Amassoma, his country home and then finished with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, April 10, at St. Peters Anglican Church, Yenagoa.
