Akuapem Poloo Detained In Nsawam Prison Despite Being Granted Bail

Ghanaian actress, Akuapem Poloo, popularly known as Rosemond Brown, has been remanded in Nsawam Prison despite being granted bail.

It would be recalled that Akuapem Poloo was sentenced to 90 days in jail by an Accra Circuit Court after posting a nude picture of herself with her seven-year-old son in June 2020.

On Wednesday, April 21, an Accra High Court granted her bail at GH¢80,000 with two sureties, pending an appeal by her lawyer Andy Vortia.

However, in a new development, Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Prisons Service ASP Samuel Kofi Opoku, in an interview with Christian Agyei Frimpong, host of Onua FM’s entertainment talk show Anigye Mmre, confirmed that Akuapem Poloo is currently in their custody at the Nsawam Female Prisons.

According to ASP Samuel Kofi Opoku, Akuapem Poloo was brought to them Thursday, April 22.

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer, Davido has taken to social media to celebrate as his song ‘Jowo’ hits 25 million views on Youtube.

Taking to his Instagram story yesterday, Davido gave all glory to God for the great achievement.
