The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He communicated his resignation from the ruling party via a terse letter addressed to the Apoi Ward 2 and Ese- Odo council chairmen of the APC on Saturday.
The letter, which he dropped at the APC Secretariat in his ward, read, “l write to tender my resignation as a member of the All Progressive Congress.
“l sincerely appreciate the party for the opportunity to serve while wishing the party the best.”
The deputy governor disclosed that everyone knew why he left the APC.
Ajayi thereafter proceeded to the secretariat of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at his Kirobo, Apoi Ward 2 to register as a member and pick up the membership card of the party.
He told the leaders of the PDP that he was joining the party as a “homecoming” since he used to be a member of the party.
