An Air France flight had a mishap mid air and was forced to land at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

Air France flight from Paris – Lagos with 168 passengers and 10 crew members on board, Sunday made an emergency landing at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The General Manager, Public Affairs, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Fan Ndubuoke ,who made this known in a statement, said the Air France aircraft with registration no. F-GZCC according to the captain, noticed that the Left Hand Nose Tyre Pressure Indicator was on, an indication of faulty Nose Wheels.
He stated that in observance of the Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs) which is a corollary to safe operation, the pilot declared an emergency.
Ndubuoke said the aircraft which had a total of 178 passengers on board with 168 passengers and 10 crew landed safely at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The Manager added that the Captain of the flight later explained to NCAA that the Nose Tyre Pressure Indicator was faulty hence the wrong signal.
The pilot the NCAA said later found out that the Tyre Pressure was in perfect condition.
Meanwhile,NCAA has directed the pilot of the incident aircraft to submit the Mandatory Occurrence Report(MOR) to it in real time.
