He said he would be returning to boyhood club, Independiente after the end of the current deal, stating that the Argentine club had promised to sign him if he ever wished to return.

It’s believed that City bosses are interested in offering him a renewed and better contract at the end of the contract deal, but he said they were aware that he had made up his made on returning to Argentina.
“My family knows it, I will return as soon as my Manchester City contract finishes in 2018.
“City are aware of it. They know that I want to go back to Argentina.
“I give my word — I will go to Avellaneda [home city of Independiente].
“The club are happy with me and they have even told me they would be open to a deal if the chance of a transfer arises,” he told Argentine radio station El Rojo En La Uno.
