The decision of Pastor Tunde Bakare not to collect his entitlement of N12 million salary for his role as a delegate during the National Conference seems to be attracting some similar reactions from other delegates.
Yesterday, former Civil Liberties Organization president, Olisa Agbakoba also said he would not collect his salary for attending the CONFAB.
His position was contained in a letter to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim.
The letter stated, “I write to accept my nomination as one of the 24 civil society group’s delegates at the national conference.
“I believe the national conference is a call to service and an opportunity to chart a new course for our country. Regrettably, I will not be able to accept any form of remuneration/financial benefits from the conference.”
