Former Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun has left Nigeria for London after her compulsory resignation yesterday,
Adeosun’s long-running saga finally came to an end yesterday when her tendered resignation was accepted by President Muhammadu Buhari.
It had been thought that the former Finance Minister might just get away with the absence of her omission letter from NYSC, but after pressure from the public and with an already difficult campaign to run, the London bred woman was eventually sacrificed.

Adeosun in her resignation letter admitted that her certificate was forged but that this was not done knowingly as she naively relied on others to obtain the certificate when she came back to the country.
There had been calls for her to be prosecuted from both Social Media and even the PDP, but now that she is gone, this is unlikely to happen.
She was replaced by Zainab Ahmed, the minister of state for budget and planning, who was announced as the successor yesterday.
According to a source for Premium Times, he said: “She has left Nigeria, She most likely is in the UK by now.”
Adeosun was appointed in 2015 by President Buhari and was tasked with helping to revitalize an ailing economy.
