President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday night applauded the Super Eagles for qualifying for the final of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Super Eagles defeated South Africa 4-2 on penalties to qualify for the final of the tournament.
Stanley Nwabali was the hero as he caught two penalties to deny the South Africans.
Tinubu, in a tweet on X said the Eagles had made Nigeria proud, urging them to go and soar in the AFCON final.
He wrote: “From the Southernmost cape of Africa to the Plains of Mauritania and the coast of West Africa….
