The Super Eagles of Nigeria maintained their winning run in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) by handing the Djurtus of Guinea Bissau a 0-2 defeat at the Roumde Adjia Stadium on Wednesday.
After a barren first-half, goals from Umar Sadiq and William Troost-Ekong were all the Eagles needed to steal victory.
It was the third straight group stage win for Austin Eguavoen’s side, having handed Egypt and Sudan 1-0 and 3-1 defeats respectively.
The Eagles qualified from Group D as group winners.
