Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen will miss the 2021 African Cup of Nations holding in Cameroon early next year.
This is as the 22-year-old underwent a successful surgery on his cheekbone and eye socket which will keep him out of action for three months.
His club confirmed this in a Tuesday statement.
Osimhen was forced out of Napoli’s 3-2 Serie A defeat to Inter Milan on Sunday evening at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
He had collided with Milan defender, Skriniar.
