The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has revealed the reasons necessitating the immediate arrest of the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Muhammed Adoke at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja on Thursday.

The former AGF who was accompanied by INTERPOL officers from Dubai arrived the country into the waiting arms of the commission’s operatives who whisked him away in their vehicle.
However, EFCC in a statement by the spokesperson for the anti-graft agency, Wilson Uwujaren said, “Adoke who fled the country in 2015, has pending criminal charge brought against him by the EFCC for alleged abuse of office and money laundering in respect of the granting of the Oil Prospecting License (OPL) 245 to Shell and ENI”
