Famed Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi has candidly shared her family’s challenging medical experiences throughout 2024.
In an Instagram post marking her 2025 birthday, Adesua reflected on the tumultuous year that tested her resilience and deepened her appreciation for life.
“2024 really tried to take the wind out of my sails, so I’m grateful to be here celebrating my life and God’s faithfulness,” Adesua wrote.
Among the challenges she recounted was undergoing an emergency C-section due to complications that put her life at risk. She described the healing process as harrowing.
In addition to her own health battles, Adesua revealed that her husband, singer Banky W, had to undergo surgery for a cancerous tumor.
“My village people are incredible. God has used this season to stretch me and show me that I’m capable of much more than I ever realized. NOW, I’m coming for everything that is mine. Nothing and nobody can stop me,” she declared.
