1 Min Read

Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold recently opened up about his debut album, “About 30,” on the sixth anniversary of its release. While celebrating the album as a “beautiful piece of Art,” he also revealed a surprising regret about one of its tracks, “Damn Delilah.”

The song, known for its raw portrayal of heartbreak, was inspired by a past relationship. A fan commented on a celebratory post by Adekunle Gold, suggesting the ex-girlfriend wouldn’t soon forget the song. In response, the singer admitted to having “mixed feelings” and “sometimes feel[ing] bad for making that record.”

Further explaining the situation, Adekunle Gold revealed he was unknowingly involved with someone already in a relationship. After being confronted and heartbroken, he poured his emotions into “Damn Delilah.”
