The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has suspended actress Halima Abubakar indefinitely due to alleged defamation. A two-year investigation revealed Abubakar’s involvement in spreading false information about colleagues.
The Guild’s investigation panel found Abubakar responsible for leaking extramarital and infidelity stories about actors. As a result, she’s banned from participating in AGN activities and filming.
Abubakar will face the National Disciplinary Committee to determine her full punishment. The AGN warns her not to violate suspension rules, which could lead to further disciplinary actions.
Additionally, the Guild is investigating other female members for similar allegations.
