Acting DG, NSC Promises Maximum Support To Falcons

Acting Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Al-Hassan Yakmut, has hailed Nigeria’s Super Falcons, pledging maximum support as they prepare for the World Cup in Canada this year.

Yakmut, who was officially introduced to the team during at the weekend by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) General Secretary, Sanusi Mohammed, said he brought the goodwill of millions of Nigerians who were fanatical about the team’s exploits both in Africa and the world.

“I bring you good tidings from the Honourable Minister of Sports and millions of Nigerians who are fanatical about your exploits in Africa and the world. Your record in this continent and the world speaks for itself. I believe you will go for this World Cup and do excellently well because all the players including the goal keepers look good and ready”

“You represent over 180 million Nigerians, it is not a mean task. It’s a task that is very heavy to bear and I want to wish you well and wish you all the best. May God bless and guide you. I am delighted to be part of you because Falcons is Yakmut and Yakmut is Falcons” he concluded.

Earlier, NFF General Secretary, Sanusi had introduced the DG to the team, harping on a sound working relationship between him and the National Sports Commission.

“Al- Hassan Yakmut is our boss and we are happy to have him as a professional and I believe there is going to be a good working relationship between NFF and the NSC” Sanusi said.
