Four men have escaped death by the whiskers after vehicles crushed their legs in Lagos.
The driver of a Mercedes Benz who was towing a tipper was said to have negotiated a bend at Boundary Market, in Ajegunle, when a tricycle suddenly moved in between the two vehicles and the tipper hit the tricycle, crushing one leg each of the two occupants in the tricycle recently.
Policemen attached to Ajegunle police station were said to have moved the vehicles to the station, arrested the driver of the towing vehicle, and rushed the victims to the general hospital in the area.
An eyewitness, Mama Augustina, said those who witnessed the accident wept when they saw the crushed legs of the victims.
Meanwhile, a commercial mini-bus was said to be plying one-way on Ijora- Apapa bridge when the bus rammed into a commercial motorcycle, crushing the legs of the rider and his passenger.
Policemen attached to Apapa police station reportedly arrested the driver of the Volkswagen bus with registration number MUS 750 XF. People who witnessed the accident which took place on Monday evening day cried when they saw the victims simply identified as Godson (passenger) and Babangida (rider).
