The family of 34-year-old Emmanuel Samuel, an Abuja-based football fan allegedly shot by a policeman, has buried him.
The Herald had earlier reported that Samuel was shot on July 11 when he went to a bar in the FCT alongside his fiancee and friends to watch the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy.
He succumbed to injuries from the gunshot eight days later, his sister, Veronica, said.
The family had faulted the FCT Police Command for holding on to their son’s remains since the incident.
It was gathered that the police eventually released the corpse last Tuesday.
Late Samuel’s remains were interred at the Television Cemetery in Southern Kaduna on Saturday, The Punch reported.
