Hon. Chijioke Chukwu representing Bende North constituency, Abia state House of Assembly, has pledged to give #200,000 to any Corps member who marries an indigene of the state and #100,000 to Corps members who marry fellow members during the service year.
Hon. Chukwu made this known in a ceremony to mark the end of the orientation exercise for Batch B, Stream 2 for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members camped in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State on Friday 6th September, 2019.

The lawmaker who admonished the youth corps members serving in the state to avoid cutting corners by getting involved in drugs and internet fraud, also charged them to be of good moral behavior during their service year in the state.
In a statement, Hon. Chukwu assured the youth corps members that the Okezie Ikpeazu-led administration is committed to ensuring their security and that of all residents and visitors of the state.
The Bende North representative expressed his profound happiness with the peaceful ambiance he experienced in the orientation camp.
