Abba Kyari comments: Sacked Kano commissioner hits back at Ganduje

Magaji and Ganduje

The Commissioner of Works and Infrastructure in Kano State, Engr Mu’azu Magaji has reacted to his sacking for allegedly “celebrating” the death of Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.

Taking to Facebook, the commissioner had described the late Chief of Staff as “domineering”, adding that he would not be missed.

He also described the late presidential aide as a power-grabber.

In yet another post before Kyari’s death, Magaji prayed for the healing of the CoS, but also prayed for him not to return to the position.

The Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, terminated his appointment today.

However, Magaji said his sacking was destined by Allah.

Translated from Hausa language which he posted it in, Magaji’s post read, “May Allah (SWT) make it the best”.

In another post, he disclosed that he would have resigned if given the opportunity to do so before being sacked but would not be leaving Kano.

“But I am not going anywhere, I am here in Kano,” he wrote, adding a tongue-out, one-eye closed emoji depicting excitement, fun or wackiness.

However, he said he remained loyal to Governor Ganduje despite his sacking.

“I remain every inch a Loyalist to HE as my Governor and will do everything in my power to protect his Government,” Magaji wrote.
