Equity Transactions on the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Wednesday ended on a positive note for the third consecutive day.
The All-Share Index appreciated further by 599.61 points or two per cent to close at 30,617.96 against the 30,018.35 achieved on Tuesday.
Similarly, the market capitalisation rose by N2 billion or two per cent to close higher at N10.198 trillion from the N9.998 trillion recorded on Tuesday.
Dangote Cement led gainers table by N5 to close at N162 per share.
It was followed by Nigerian Breweries by N2.50 to close at N148.50, while UAC appreciated by N1.85 to close at N38.85 per share.
Unilever increased by N1.62 to close at N35.70 while Zenith Bank appreciated by N1.31 to close at N18.11 per share.
Conversely, Conoil topped losers chart, shedding N3.53 kobo to close at N32.68 per share.
Guinness trailed with a loss of N1.44 to close at N128.46, while Presco Plc fell by N1.05 to close at N29.99 per share,
Stanbic IBTC went down by N0.89 to close at N25.11 and Okum Oil dipped by 81k to close at N26.64 per share.
The volume of shares traded increased by 17.45 per cent with 466.045 million shares worth N4.75 billion traded in 4,880 deals.
This is against the 396.808 million shares valued at N3.81 billion exchanged in 4,885on Tuesday.
Oando Oil emerged the most traded stock, accounting for 112.699 million shares worth N2.02 billion.
FBN Holdings followed with an exchange of 77.215 million shares valued N541.19 million, while UBA traded 44.96 million shares worth N161.78 million.
Diamond Bank sold 35.93 million shares valued at N140.03 million, while Access Bank accounted for 32.68 millon shares worth N179.49 million.
