The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial aspirant in Lagos State has vowed to combat vested interests that are milking Lagosians of tens of billions of Naira annually.
He made the remarks whilst speaking during an interactive session with the Muslim community in Lagos yesterday.
He commended Governor Babatunde Fashola for recording some progress in the state thus far, but stated that Lagos was in urgent need of change and not continuity.
He noted that most of the problems affecting the State were products of what he referred to as “vested interest.”
He said the citizens were, therefore, not positively lifted by the APC government in the areas of health and education.
Agbaje said he would scrap the Lekki – Epe tolls when elected governor next month.
The Lekki toll project has drawn severe criticism to the Fashola administration as a white elephant project which attracted undue financial hardship to Lagosians.
