Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo was present to witness the unveiling of a giant statue of him, in his home town Madeira.
The statue is part of Ronaldo’s personal musuem ‘CR7’ located in his birth city Funchal, housing awards from his career including his two Ballon D’Or titles.
Ronaldo went for the unveiling after Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over San Lorenzo in the
FIFA Club World Cup Final on Saturday.
“This is a very special moment, to have a statue of me,” the 29-year-old said.
The statue is modelled on Ronaldo’s infamous free-kick pose and large crowds gathered to see the presentation.
