European Champions Real Madrid made it through to the finals of the Club World cup, beating Mexican side Cruz Azul 4 – 0 in the process.
Real scored first at Stade de Marrakech in the 15 minute with a Toni Kroos’ cross headed in by defender Sergio Ramos.
Striker Benzema added a second, before CONCACAF champions Cruz Azul lost a penalty-kick just before half time.
Bale powered in a third, five minutes into the second half and Isco rounded with a superb strike.
Real Madrid is now through to the finals and will face either South American champions San Lorenzo or Oceania champions Auckland City, who meet in their semi-final on Wednesday (today).
“The game was still open at 2-0 with the penalty but we didn’t concede and it was an efficient performance from us,” Real coach Carlo Ancelotti told Spanish television.
“Ronaldo didn’t score but he is always there helping the team and creating chances.”
