Angel Di maria suffered an injury scare to add to Louis Van Gaal’s injury list at Manchester United.
Di Maria was sent for an X-ray last night after the United star was stepped on by team-mate Nani.
The Argentine coach insists that the winger wasn’t badly hurt and the player carried on playing.
Martino said: “We don’t think it’s anything serious. It was quite a hard blow he took and it was a hard knock. It cut the skin a little bit.
“We’ve had a look at it and we are evaluating the situation. We are having a look at some X-rays, some images, that have been taken. But in spite of that, we don’t think it’s too serious.”
The player hopes to be fit to face Arsenal on Saturday and tweeted: “It was just a blow. I hope it does not swell anymore so I can play at the weekend.”
