Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, one of the gubernatorial aspirants under the All Progressives Party embarked on a tour of all the 20 Local Government, LGAs and 37 Local Government Development Areas, LCDAs in the state.
Speaking at Ikorodu LGA, where the tour was kicked off, the aspirant promised to return government back to the people of Lagos through the strengthening of the LGAs and the LCDAs in order to take government nearer to the people. He also said that the manifesto of the party for the welfare of the people would guide all his actions if he elected.
At Alimosho Local Government, the APC Alimosho bigwigs namely High Chief Solomon Ogundola a.k.a (Adinmula), Titi Adebayo, the women leader, Alhaji Waheed Orire, Alhaji Abdulahi Enilolonbo, Alhaji Yisa Yusuf, Hon. Femi Adebanjo, Olusegun welcomed the aspirant.
Mr. Ambode promised to open up the local government and provide opportunities for the people including youth and women if he got the mandate of the people to serve.
The aspirant was welcomed by former Head of Service, Mr. Sunny Ajose at Badagry, Mr. Ambode also made the same promise to serve Lagosians and also give due recognition to the people of Badagry if elected.
The current Secetary to Lagos State Government, Mrs Oluranti Adebule welcomed Mr Ambode at the Ojo local government area, the aspirant highlighted his twenty seven years experience in the Lagos Civil Service as as a reason why he understands the problem of Lagos and why he is the best man for the job.
