According to Spanish publication Marca, Real Madrid are planning a switch to replace German midfielder Sami Khedira with Brazilian youngster Lucas Silva who has recently shown prowess in the defensive midfield position.
Khedira’s contract with the Los Blancos is due to end early 2015 and with no option of renewing the deal; the Spanish side are quickly considering 21-year-old Lucas as a viable option.
Lucas Silva currently plays for Brasileirão side Cruzeiro, he made his professional debut for the club in 2012 and also joined the Brazilian senior National team on 24 May, 2014.
If Khedira finally exit Madrid, football analysts strongly believe he would head to an English team, and considering his heavy link with Arsenal, along with their desperate need of a defensive midfielder, he might end up a Gunner.
