‘Don’t blame Keshi’ – Okocha warns Nigerians, NFF

1 Min Read

Many believed Keshi’s last chance, to prove himself worthy, to lead the National team, was Saturday’s match with Sudan; still and all, a big blow pounced on the expectations of Nigerians as the Eagles crumbled to a 1 – 0 defeat.

Castigations were disparately mounted on the players and the Big Boss, but importantly, the lingering rumour of dropping the incumbent coach is near realization as Africanfootball.com gathered from a top NFF official that, “The new NFF have already decided to sack Keshi and they are already shopping for a replacement for the coach.”

Recall, Keshi, since the end of his 3-years contract after the 2014 FIFA world cup, has failed to come to a consensus with NFF on the basis of the renewal of his deal.

While, a vast majority of football fanatics, won’t part with trumpeting that Keshi is to blame for the Eagles downplay, former Super Eagles captain, Austin Okocha via his twitter account, implied that the solution lies in revamping.

“Anyone that blames Keshi or the boys is short sighted. Our football is long dead and gone. This is just the confirmation,” the football legend tweeted.
