Professional English and Manchester United footballer, Wayne Rooney, qualified his national teammate and former club mate Danny Welbeck as a “fantastic footballer”.
“Sometimes he doesn’t get the credit he deserves for his footballing ability,” said Rooney.
Danny Welbeck moved to Arsenal in the late hours of the deadline for this years transfer window.
He was signed on a long term deal for £16 million.
The 23-year-old has scored four goals and made an assist so far for the Gunners.
Rooney assured that Welbeck is “quick and athletic and can score different type of goals, actually as a footballer he’s very intelligent.”
Presuming that the winger needs more playing time at Arsenal, Rooney stated:
“You’ll start to see that the more he plays for Arsenal week in week out, he’ll prove what a good footballer he is, and for England.”
