The Gunners had an impeccable performance on Wednesday’s Champions League match against Galatasaray at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal defeated the Turkish side 4 – 1, scoring most goals in the first half.
They dominated play all through the first 45 minutes and for some part of the second half, but later turned more defensive when Szczesny was dismissed in the 60th minute.
Summer signing Danny Welbeck scored his first professional hat-trick, and Alexis Sanchez scored a goal in the 41st minute.
The victory was a perfect way for veteran coach Arsene Wenger to mark 18 years since he was appointed boss at Arsenal.
“We have good pace on basically all the areas of the pitch and you could see that today. It was very dangerous for them,” Wenger told Sky sports 1.
On Alexis Sanchez performance: “(Sanchez) played well, made some good passes apart from the goal we conceded but before that I think he had a very good performance.”
On transfer day deadline signing Danny Welbeck: “He is such a good player that it gives him time to finish calm. “Once the players understand that, their finishing improves a lot,” Wenger added.
With 3 points in 2 matches, Arsenal stands second in Group D of the Champions League, 3 points behind Bor Dortmund.
