Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have officially finalized their divorce.
Court documents submitted by Lopez to the Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, January 6, 2025, revealed that the couple reached a settlement through mediation in September 2024, just a month after Lopez filed for divorce.
According to the settlement, both stars will retain earnings from their individual business ventures and projects without any spousal support obligations. Once approved by a judge on February 20, 2025, Lopez will legally drop “Affleck” from her name.
Despite the split, the pair have agreed to remain part of each other’s lives, as reported by The Mirror.
Daily Post recalls that Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, tied the knot in July 2022. However, in August 2024, Lopez filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, with the separation date listed as April 26, 2024.
Affleck shares three children—Samuel, 12, Seraphina, 15, and Violet, 18—with his first wife, Jennifer Garner. Meanwhile, Lopez has 16-year-old twins, Emme and Max, from her marriage to singer Marc Anthony.
