A French band captivated attendees at a state dinner in Paris on Thursday with a lively performance of P-Square’s hit song “Testimony (Taste the Money)” in honor of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu.
The dinner, held at the prestigious Palais de l’Élysée, was part of President Tinubu’s three-day state visit to France, aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
In a now-viral video, the band delivered a vibrant rendition of the Afrobeat classic, infusing Nigerian rhythms with a unique French flair. The performance received warm applause from the audience, including President Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who appeared delighted by the cultural tribute.
The evening also featured another nod to Nigerian music as the band performed “Mama Africa” by Bracket, further highlighting the global appeal of Afrobeat on the international stage.
