Wumi Toriola’s film, “Queen Lateefah,” has joined Nollywood’s top box office rankings, grossing ₦333.7 million.
Since its release on September 27, 2024, the family comedy-drama has sold over 80,500 tickets.
“Queen Lateefah” now ranks seventh among Nollywood’s highest-grossing movies, surpassing “Ajosepo” (₦257.2 million) and “Ajakaju” (₦252.8 million).
The film’s success is notable, considering it’s not a December release, typically a peak period for Nollywood box office performances.
Directed by Adeoluwa Owu and distributed by Cinemax, “Queen Lateefah” tells the story of Lateefah Adeleke, a businesswoman whose life takes an unexpected turn.
The cast includes Kunle Remi, Femi Adebayo, Nancy Isime, Bimbo Manuel, Elvina Ibru, Enioluwa, and Gbugbemi Ejeye.
