Nigerian Singer Dr. Sid Relocates to United States

Nigerian singer, Dr. Sid (Sydney Esiri), has confirmed his relocation to the United States. In a recent episode of the ‘No Man’s Friend’ podcast, Dr. Sid revealed he left Nigeria after securing a job in New York.

“I now live in the U.S. I left Nigeria last year after getting a job with a company in New York that offered me the opportunity to move to the States and live anywhere in the U.S.,” he said. Dr. Sid chose Houston, Texas, due to family ties and friendships.

Dr. Sid gained prominence in 2002 with Da Trybe and later released his debut solo single ‘Don’t Stop.’ He took a break to complete his university degree, becoming a qualified dentist, and later worked with notable artists in the UK.

In 2007, Dr. Sid focused on his music career, signing with Don Jazzy’s Mo’ Hits Records and releasing his debut album ‘Turning Point’ in 2010. He later signed with Mavin Records and released his sophomore album ‘Siduction’ in 2013.

Dr. Sid also ventured into acting, making his debut in Moses Inwang’s ‘The Last 3 Digits’ in 2014.
