British-Nigerian artist, Oluwafis Isa, known as Darkoo, recently shared a surprising revelation regarding her career path. In an exclusive podcast interview, the ‘Favourite Girl’ hitmaker disclosed that music was not her initial aspiration, with football being her true passion.
Darkoo recounted a pivotal moment during her football days when she fainted on the pitch, prompting her decision to transition from football to music. She candidly expressed, “Music was never the plan. I wanted to be a footballer. The last time I played football, I fainted because it was a lot of exercise.”
