Jaruma Reveals She Got Married to Silence Critics Over Sex Product Business

Controversial sex therapist, Jaruma (Hauwa Mohammed), has opened up about her 2018 marriage to Ross Fahad Isabor.

In an interview with the ‘Issues and Society’ podcast, Jaruma shared that she married to alleviate backlash from northerners for selling aphrodisiacs as a single woman.

“I got married to escape pressure from the north,” Jaruma said. “They criticized me for teaching people about sex as a single lady.”

Jaruma revealed that she earned N760 million in 3 years from her sex industry business. She also explained that her marriage wasn’t for love, but to ease criticism and that her ex-husband understood that. This marriage dissolved in 2021
