Earlier today, Nigerian music star Davido took to social media to comment on the ongoing Edo State election. His tweet, “Bruh @inecnigeria fix up we can’t continue like this … wtf,” sparked a flurry of reactions from Nigerians, many of whom questioned his interest in the state elections.
In response to the queries, Davido clarified, “My mom is from Edo for those wondering why I’m interested in the election … but we as Nigerians should be concerned sha … @inecnigeria shame on you I know how many times I had to come in here and rant before they got it right in Osun! It’s really bad. God help us.”
One netizen questioned Davido’s stance, asking, “Why is Davido wailing? No be the same INEC conduct the election wey hn Uncle win?”
Davido replied, “No be the same wailing nd exposure make dem do well … ?? I’m exposing wrong doings to over 40 million pple anytime I say something on social media … and I saw the power of social media with my uncle’s election. Asue is my candidate and I’m using my voice for someone I believe in. Now u Sef wail to ur own followers let’s see how far that goes.”
