Baba Fryo Accuses Nasboi of Intellectual Property Theft

Veteran Nigerian musician Baba Fryo has publicly accused upcoming artiste Nasboi of stealing lyrics from his iconic hit, “Denge Pose.” In a now-viral video on social media, Baba Fryo expressed his frustration and demanded proper credit and compensation for his work.

The controversy arose after Nasboi released his new track, “Short Skirt,” which allegedly contains lyrics from Baba Fryo’s classic song. Baba Fryo, speaking in pidgin English, warned Nasboi to reach out to him before he takes further action.

“Nigerians, I greet una. This thing don dey happen e don tey. And I was not happy with it. But now I want to take action. You see that song wey Nasboi sings about ‘short skirt’. My lyrics ‘Dengo dey denge Denge’ are inside the verse. So, anybody wey know Nasboi should tell him to reach out to me before water go pass gari,” Baba Fryo stated.

He emphasized that this must be the last time anyone uses his song without permission, urging Nasboi to contact him to resolve the issue amicably.
