Rapper 50 Cent is slated to perform at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, according to reports from CNN’s Victor Blackwell.
This development comes after his hit song “Many Men” surged in popularity following Donald Trump’s survival of an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. 50 Cent had shared a modified version of his album cover featuring Trump’s face on his body, captioning it “Trump gets shot and now I’m trending.”
50 Cent has been associated with the Republican party in the past. In June, he faced online backlash after taking a picture with Rep. Lauren Boebert, a controversial Republican politician.
The rapper has also been using his social media platforms to show support for Donald Trump, even posting his song “Many Men (Wish Death)” to link the attempted assassination of the former president at a Pennsylvania rally.
The news of his attendance at the event comes after GOP Chairman Michael Whatley confirmed 50 Cent’s presence. However, it is alleged that the rapper’s team says that he will be in Shreveport preparing for his upcoming “Humor and Harmony” festival.
