Burna Boy Denies Using Songwriters, Contradicts Previous Admission

1 Min Read

Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy has refuted claims by Davido’s signee, Logos Olori, that he uses songwriters. Logos Olori had stated in an interview that many top artists, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido, rely on songwriters due to their busy schedules.

Burna Boy responded on social media, clarifying that the credited songwriters on his songs are actually producers, not lyricists. He explained that western music policies consider producers as writers of instrumentals, leading to their names being credited as writers.

However, this denial contradicts Burna Boy’s previous admission that Peruzzi, a songwriter and Davido’s signee, wrote a song for him. Burna Boy had earlier stated that Peruzzi was the only songwriter he had ever used.
