Renowned Music Icon, Femi Esho, Passes Away at 77

The Nigerian music industry is mourning the loss of Chief Femi Esho, Chairman of Evergreen Musical Company, who passed away on Monday at the age of 77 after a brief illness. Affectionately known as Baba Esho or Baba Musician, he was a prominent figure in the industry and founder of the Evergreen Music Heritage Foundation.

Baba Esho was a mentor and inspiration to many in the Highlife music scene, dedicating his life to preserving and promoting various Nigerian music genres, including Highlife, Juju, Sakara, Apala, Afrobeat, and more. His legacy and contributions to the music industry will be deeply missed.

The family has confirmed his passing and will announce burial arrangements soon.
